The grass had other ideas.

The well went up last winter, but it’s still bare and flower-less, and bluebonnets are going to be upon me soon. The landscape designer has been out to assess what I need, but we’re way behind schedule. So the well special will probably happen in May now. If you aren’t getting my emails, you can sign up for them using the box in the upper left corner.

It will be beautiful when it happens, I promise!

First Step sessions are a great way to capture those awkward toddling first steps of baby. They should be scheduled several weeks AFTER the actual first steps, so that baby will actually perform on the big day. If baby isn’t walking in stores or restaurants yet, he or she will often revert to crawling at the studio.

In 2011, First Steps Sessions are $195 and include a 10×20 mounted poster print for your wall, two 5×10 mounted prints to give to grandparents, and two 3×6 album prints for the baby book and family album. Additional prints can be ordered and generally we can pull an individual image from the shoot if you also want a traditional portrait for baby’s first birthday.

I told her not to worry, we’d find the file and run a new one. But the image was from 2001! Her newborn shot!

The J children come every summer to update their pictures. I got to use my brand-new drop with them, as well as capture their very sweet relationship.

It’s been a baby boom this summer!

Baby N is the little cousin to one of my recent Baby Plan graduates, so it’s his turn now! We can’t wait to photograph them together.

Baby N was a calm and collected during his session, happy and alert despite only being a few weeks old.

It’s hard to believe it sometimes when these babies graduate from their plans so soon! Baby V is all boy and such a happy little kid! More pictures of him are to come as we just did an outdoor shoot with his big brother and three big boy cousins!

Happy Birthday, little man!

Baby A came in for his second shoot at three months. Wow, has he grown! And big brother and sister were so proud!

But little sister is quite the gem! She handled her outfit changes with total grace!

I’ll be seeing her lots as she is my newest Baby Plan member! I can’t wait to watch her grow!
